The rules for authorized use, free local tools, subscriptions and cloud password recovery on MyPassRecovery.
Last updated: July 24, 2026
Authorized use only
You may use MyPassRecovery only on files you own or are expressly authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and for confirming that you have permission before removing restrictions or starting password recovery.
Free local mode
- No login and no file upload for supported local workflows.
- A bundled common-password dictionary of more than 500,000 candidates.
- No 8-digit numeric brute force in free mode.
- A maximum run time of approximately 10 minutes and daily device/IP limits.
- Supported restriction-removal tasks may complete locally without recovering the original password.
Subscribed cloud mode
Active subscriptions add larger dictionaries, rule expansion, 8-digit numeric and combination modes, GPU queue processing and additional usage. These capabilities expand the search space and can improve the likelihood of recovery.
No password recovery method can guarantee success. A task may finish without finding the original password, and purchasing a subscription is not a promise that every password will be recovered.
Deterministic restriction removal
When a supported Office or PDF file already opens and contains a removable editing or permission restriction, the service may create an unrestricted copy without finding the original protection password. Compatibility depends on the detected file format and protection type.
Subscriptions and payments
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase for the product capabilities offered under that plan. Payments are processed by Stripe. Plan details shown at checkout form part of these terms.
Service availability
We may update recovery engines, supported formats, free limits and abuse protections to maintain security and service quality. We do not permit malware, unauthorized access, service interference or attempts to bypass usage controls.
