Can I try MyPassRecovery without logging in?
Yes. Free local mode does not require login. It includes one daily device/IP attempt where applicable, a common-password dictionary of more than 500,000 candidates and an approximate 10-minute maximum run time.
Is my file uploaded in free mode?
Supported Office/PDF restriction removal and local quick checks do not upload the file. PDF and 7z may upload files up to 3 MB temporarily when server-side hash extraction is required.
Does free mode test every 8-digit number?
No. Free mode does not run the 8-digit numeric search or combination rules. Those high-compute modes are available in subscribed cloud recovery.
What does a subscription add?
Subscriptions add large dictionaries, rule expansion, numeric and combination modes, additional usage, account task tracking and a GPU processing queue.
Is paid password recovery guaranteed?
No. Paid modes search more candidates and can improve the success rate, but no service can guarantee a match when the original password is unknown.
Which tasks do not need the original password?
Supported Excel worksheet/workbook protection, Word or PowerPoint editing restrictions and PDF owner/permission restrictions can often be removed when the file already opens. File-open encryption still requires password recovery.
What happens if the small dictionary misses?
You can sign in and subscribe to continue with larger dictionaries, rules, numeric masks and combination modes in the cloud GPU queue.
How is the 50 MB local limit calculated?
The desktop app checks the original selected file size. 50 MB means 50 × 1024 × 1024 bytes. PDF/7z server-side free hash extraction has a separate 3 MB limit.
